The Algarve restaurant

What a find in Potters Bar. I was about to give up hope of finding a high-quality restaurant and decided to visit The Algarve and from the moment I walked through the door, the owner, Pedro and his team made us feel super welcome and their interior decor is very classy. The menu has a wide selection of choices and the food quality and presentation was perfection - I would highly recommend this place to anyone and will be back! 5 stars all round for service, good quality and presentation. Please support this local restaurant - you won’t be disappointed.

Wow what an amazing family run establishment, it's such a cosy intimate restaurant. The food was divine with so much flavour, the staff and owners were so friendly and catered to our needs. I could not recommend this place enough. I honestly felt like I was in Portugal eating authentic Portuguese food. I am definitely coming back again. I would recommend the steak you won't be sorry.

Had a really good first experience at the Algarve, food was excellent and fresh along with attentive and welcoming service from all members of staff. The owner?/manager was genuinely concerned about your experience and expectations and always made sure you was happy. We had 3 courses including bread basket and drinks which came to £79, this included the £10 x 2 per person government incentive. The owner/manager is also extending this with a restaurant offer of half price or £7.50 off per person for Thursday's as he has to turn customers away Mon to Wed due to being fully booked. Will visit again in the near future. Thanks to all at the Algarve

Incredible, authentic, beautiful food. The quality is first class. I enjoyed everything from home baked bread and mushroom starter to its delicious octopus and they special dessert. Pedro is very friendly and offer you number one hospitality. Definitely recommend this restaurant. I wish I was leaving locally to visit this lovely restaurant more often.

A lovely discovery when taking the long way home. Pedro and his team were brilliant. The red wine was lovely and paired beautifully with the duck. The Hake was fresh and perfectly cooked. Already planning my next visit. Obrigada Pedro!

WOW! Who would’ve thought Potters Bar could have such a unique restaurant The Algarve restaurant!!! good food, good drinks outstanding hospitality THANK YOU to the owner that made our experience extra special. I’ve travelled near and far for Pastel de Natas and who would’ve known the best ones are on my doorstep, look no further with ice cream crumble for dessert! Freshly baked by the pastry chef. 👌🏻 The flames grilled Portuguese cod (Bacalhau) was the one dish that blew me away with fresh new potatoes, broccoli florets,caramelised onions ♥️ Can’t wait to go back 😊 go support our local business! This is definitely one to remember ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Had a wonderful meal here to celebrate someones birthday. The food was great, each person there enjoyed it all. Service was great too, and it's nice that the chef comes out to meet the guests too. Highly recommend.
